Shields posted an Instagram clip where she is throwing punches after punches on an internet troll. She posted the clip to nearly 1 million of her Instagram followers saying, she couldn’t believe this punk a** girl pulled up to her gym after trolling me for months.

(She) couldn't last more than 30 seconds! I damn near killed this h**,

Posting sparring videos on the internet isn’t quite normal in the boxing community. Boxers do post pictures of them sparring, whereas videos are mostly restricted. For them to keep their sparring sessions disclosed before a fight is a must. But when it comes to confronting their internet trolls, none of the boxers step back. Well, for one of Claressa Shields’s trolls, things didn’t go so well. The reigning world champ battered her troll with powerful hooks and jabs.

Online trolls are a part of a professional boxer’s life. Some of the boxers do not pay attention to them. At the same time, some of the boxers do not leave a chance to confront and batter them. Claressa Shields being a world champion did what she thought was the best to do. Given today’s hike in internet trolls, many boxers or fighters face this type of discomfort. However, this was not the first a boxer lashed out on its troll.

Claressa Shields isn’t the only boxer to go after her troll

It appears that Claressa Shields is not the only boxer to confront a troll. Several years ago, former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder had a confrontation with his troll, Charlie Zelenoff. The cyber bully had been targeting Wilder and threatening his daughter for months if not years. Ultimately, Wilder taught him a much-needed lesson.

Online trolls should learn from these examples. The harsh reality where they will be thrashed by those whom they bully rigorously. Even now, the fighters face backlash from such trolls for their underperformance inside the ring or whatever the reason may be.
