It was a night out for Scarlett Johansson and husband Colin Jost!
The Black Widow actress and SNL star turned heads at The American Cinematheque Awards on Thursday (November 18) when they made their first red carpet appearance since tying the knot last October, as well as welcoming their first child Cosmo.
The couple looked stunning during their first big in-person event in nearly two years — Johansson made sure all eyes were on her wearing a white suit with a crystal corset and cutout back, while Jost looked just as amazing wearing a slick black tuxedo with a matching bowtie.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Johansson revealed that she and Jost have enjoyed their break from events, due to getting to spend more time with their son.
“I feel very fortunate that I’ve been able to take this time to really enjoy the early stages of my motherhood with our son,” Johansson said. “It’s been wonderful. I’m in a ‘baby bliss bubble.'”
The Annual American Cinematheque Awards is an annual fundraiser for the non-profit organization that continues its year-round programming at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. This year, Johansson was honored by the organization, receiving the “American Cinematheque Award.”
This award is given to someone who has made a significant contribution to the art of the motion pictures, and Johansson admitted that she was overwhelmed to find out she was receiving this year’s award.
“When I was first told that I was getting this award, I was like, ‘Wait, is it over? I’m still in the middle of my life, my career,'” Johansson said. “It’s a unique experience, a very special one to just kind of, take it all in. I’m very overwhelmed.”
Johansson now joins the long list of past winners such as Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Downey Jr., Charlize Theron, Spike Lee, and more.
