Laura Woods is living her best life poolside in her swimsuit. The television presenter shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit in one of her latest social media posts. Laura makes most of her food. "Making a lot of food from scratch and baking a lot of healthy treats," is one of her dietary secrets. "I became more health conscious when the children came on the scene and certainly when they started eating the same food as us. I also bake protein bars and yoghurt porridge bread to keep us all going throughout the week," she told Irish Examiner.
Laura maintains that "walking, running and swimming," are her go-to workouts. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Laura tries to get enough rest. "Our sleep has been very disrupted because of the children — so a full eight or seven hours' sleep is a bit of luxury these days. Also, if I have a coffee any time after lunchtime I will find it difficult to get to sleep," she says.
Laura enlists the help of workout buddies, which used to be her former flame Alex Corbisiero. "Once a week we go and train together and it's amazing," Woods told Irish Examiner. "He's so good. If I do something wrong I feel so guilty because he is like, 'I just want you to be good', then I'm like, 'I know but I am so s***."
Laura follows a six-week plan. "We have a nutritionist and a fitness consultant," she said. "And I think it's unrealistic because your body goes through so many changes when you're pregnant and when you give birth, that it's not feasible to lose a huge amount of weight over a short period of time. So for me, it was really just about increasing my strength, my stamina, and kicking bad habits."
