I'm the real father, he's [Medvedev] the godfather.

Medvedev’s wife couldn’t control herself as she burst into laughter hearing that and it was evident from the looks of Medvedev that he wasn’t too entertained by Rublev’s statements.

Andrey Rublev’s 2023 season in a nutshell

Andrey Rublev has had one of the greatest years this season performing beyond limits and even reaching a career-best rank of 5. Despite his great start to the year, he couldn’t finish off the year on a high as he struggled with form and was also involved in several demoralizing actions on the court.

He has had a win-loss record of 56-26 this year and in terms of Grand Slam performances, he managed a ratio of 14-4.

And he has also managed to win two titles this year, first with this amazing scintillating performance at the Monte-Carlo Masters and then at the Nordea Open. He also managed to make it to the finals of four more tournaments: the Halle Open, the Dubai Championships, the Banja Luka Open, and the Shanghai Masters.
