POCATELLO, Idaho (KBOI) — A man in Pocatello was apparently in the mood for some sushi.
About $125 worth of sushi.
He apparently just didn't want to pay for it.
The Sumisu Asian Fusion & Sushi restaurant in Pocatello says that a man ordered up several plates of sushi, sake and dessert on Monday.
"The diner then informed the server he wanted to step out for a cigarette, however once the server arrived with the dessert the man had left without a trace," the restaurant said on Facebook. "We waited 20-30 minutes past our close time for the man to return and he has yet to do so."
The restaurant owners appear to be in a forgiving mood, however. "If you are the gentleman in question and this was a simple mistake, we are more than happy to have you return, square up the bill and we can move forward from there no questions asked."
The restaurant says it has contacted the Pocatello Police Department. Managers say they posted about the incident on social media to help other restaurants avoid being hurt by dishonest behavior.
