BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise's VA campus will set restrictions for entering and screening starting Tuesday for veterans and employees.
Starting March 24 veterans must use the main entrance at Fort Street, and employees will use parking lot 7.
Campus entrances changes:
- Fort Street (main entrance): No change
- South VA Loop: Open – Traffic directed to Parking Lot #1 for screening
- Lot 7: Employee entrance only
- North VA Loop: Closed or egress only
- Collins Road: Closed - FMS would install barriers
- State Veterans’ Home: Closed - FMS would install barriers
- Mountain Cove: Closed - FMS would install barriers

Screening Operations:
Incoming vehicles would be diverted onto South VA Loop and directed to enter Parking Lot #1 for pre-screening/screening. Once screened, vehicles would be released to park as usual and enter the medical center at B.85A. This contacts vehicles soon after entering the property and before they have a chance to park and would prevent unscreened patients from entering outlying building.
Any persons requested to leave the facility, who refuse to wear a mask or who refuse to be screened will be escorted off the property by VA Police.
Facility Entrances:
- All patient access to the main hospital complex (Buildings 27, 67, 77, 85, 85A, 110 & 120) will be through the Emergency Department (ED) entrance in Building 85.
- All employees reporting for duty will report in the main hospital complex will enter through B.85 with an ID.
